Liberation from Mechanical Ventilation in the Adult ICU


In this presentation, our presenter will discuss the history of ventilator ‘weaning’ (liberation), including a review of predictors and techniques. This will be followed with a short discussion of evolution of the generations of ventilators and a review of several pertinent studies and guidelines related to ventilator discontinuance.

Successful completion of this course requires a score of 70% on the post-test.
